Rather expected game when 7th ranked Aisin AW (6-12) lost to fourth ranked Saitama Broncos (14-6) in Aichi 63-76 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos outrebounded Aisin AW 45-24 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Kodai Takahashi (180-91) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Guard Ikishima Ikejima (188-94) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Aisin AW. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama Broncos have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Otsuka A. Loser Aisin AW keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Saitama Broncos will face Tokyo Excel. (#5) on the road in the next round. Aisin AW will play against the league's leader Tokyo HT and hope to win that game.
