Regular Season Round 22: Tochigi Brex - Hokkaido L. 100-76

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Tochigi Brex (17-15) outscored at home 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (17-15) 100-76 on Saturday. Tochigi Brex shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) fired 18 points and 5 assists for the winners (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi Brex have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Toyama Grouses and Hokkaido L. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. Tochigi Brex will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hokkaido L. will play at home against the league's leader Toyota Alvark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
