Regular Season Round 21: Rivas - Guadalajara 63-76

Very expected game when 9th ranked Rivas (6-8) lost at home to fifth ranked CB Guadalajara (10-5) 76-63 on Saturday. It was a good game for Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-94, college: Arkansas St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 rebounds. American CJ Dunston (196-94, college: Lancaster Bible) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five CB Guadalajara players scored in double figures. Power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and Eduardo Martinez (193-96) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Rivas. Rivas' coach Juanjo Simon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Guadalajara moved-up to fourth place in Group B. Rivas lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. CB Guadalajara will face Liceo Frances (#15) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rivas will play on the road against Teguise (#16) and hope to win that game.
