A1 top team - Olympiacos (13-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Niki Lefkadas (6-7) 75-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Niki Lefkadas. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: ProDep Management) nailed 23 points for the winning side and American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) accounted for 11 points and 4 assists. Olympiacos' coach Eleni Kapogianni used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Hailey Dunham (188-87, college: USC) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and the other American import forward Peyton Whitted (190-95, college: Penn St.) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Niki Lefkadas in the defeat. Olympiacos have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Niki Lefkadas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Esperides. Olympiacos will meet at home Esperides (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niki Lefkadas will play against Olympiacos Volou and hope to secure a win.
