Regular Season Round 22: Shimane SM - Osaka Evessa 58-70

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (10-22) won against on the road 6th ranked Shimane Magic (7-25) 70-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded Shimane Magic 48-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Hiroyuki Kinoshita (178-80) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth position with 10-22 record. Shimane Magic lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with 25 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face Nishinomiya S. (#5) in Hyogo in the next round. Shimane Magic will play at home against Toshiba Thunders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
