There was no surprise in Tokyo where 3rd ranked Shiga L-Stars (11-21) were crushed by first ranked Toyota Alvark (26-6) 81-59 on Saturday. Toyota Alvark outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Joji Takeuchi (207-85) chipped in 4 points and 12 rebounds. American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) produced 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Australian forward Venky Jois (202-93, college: E.Washington) added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-6 record. Shiga L-Stars lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the third place with 21 games lost. Toyota Alvark will face Hokkaido L.
