Tenth-ranked San Salvatore (6-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Alpo VF (13-4). The visitors from Verona managed to secure only three-point victory 59-56. However their fans expected much easier game. Forward Arianna Zampieri (183-88) nailed 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Elena Ramo (185-94) accounted for 13 points. The former international center Valentina Fabbri (196-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Cinzia Arioli (178-84, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for San Salvatore in the defeat. Alpo VF maintains third place in A2 with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Sesto SG. San Salvatore at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost.
