Regular Season Round 32: Cyberdyne IR - Yamagata 85-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Yamagata (15-16) against fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (14-16) on Saturday night. Visiting Yamagata was defeated by Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba 85-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yamagata. It was a great shooting night for Cyberdyne IR especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) who added 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR maintains fourth position with 14-16 record, which they share with Kagawa FA. Yamagata at the other side keeps the third place with 16 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will again meet at home higher ranked Yamagata (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Yamagata will have a break next round.
