Very expected game when 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (7-24) was defeated at home by second ranked Kumamoto V. (22-9) 86-78 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Kumamoto V.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: Auburn) produced 29 points and his fellow American import power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) added 6 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Kumamoto V. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-9 record having just three point less than leader Akita NH. Bambitious Nara lost third consecutive game.
