Very predictable result when fifth ranked Real Canoe (11-5) won against on the road 11th ranked Almeria (4-12) 62-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Real Canoe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Quite impressive performance for point guard Macarena Roldan-Garcia (173-94) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 4 assists. Center Monica Garrido (185-82) contributed with 6 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Real Canoe's coach Jose Luis Vicente used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Bosnian center Samra Omerbasic (191-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Alicia Gonzalez (187-86) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Almeria. Real Canoe moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Adelantados. Almeria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Real Canoe will face CVCD Granada (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Almeria will play against the league's leader Gran Canaria in Las Palmas and hope to win that game.
