Regular Season Round 15: Koping Stars - Trelleborg 86-69

Very predictable result when second ranked Koping Stars (14-1) beat at home 9th ranked Trelleborg (3-12) 86-69 on Saturday. Koping Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trelleborg's 24. They outrebounded Trelleborg 43-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Trelleborg's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who had a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Justin Berry (198-88, college: Newman) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jordan Gerami Lou (-97) added 14 points and 8 assists respectively. Koping Stars have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-1 record behind leader Djurgarden. Loser Trelleborg keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Koping Stars will face IK Eos (#7) in Lund in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Trelleborg will play on the road against Wetterbygden in Huskvarna and hope to win that game.
