Regular Season Round 21: Unicaja-Andalucia - Cazorla 95-75

There was an upset when leader Cazorla (10-4) was outleveled by eighth ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (7-7) in Malaga 95-75 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-75. Unicaja-Andalucia made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game, while Cazorla only scored eight points from the stripe. Cazorla was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Dutch center Morgan Stilma (202-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Ignacio Rosa (206-99) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American guard Quarry Greenaway (190, college: J.and Wales, RI) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Steven Weidlich (185, college: Susquehanna, agency: Duran International) added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Cazorla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unicaja-Andalucia moved-up to sixth place in Group D-A, which they share with Almeria. Loser Cazorla dropped to the second position with four games lost. Unicaja-Andalucia will face bottom-ranked Andujar (#10) on the road in the next round. Cazorla will play against Novaschool (#8) and hope to win that game.
