Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked San Miniato (9-10) edged on the road 14th ranked Varese Robur (6-13) 55-54 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Andrea Chiriatti (198-93) contributed with 12 points for the winners. San Miniato's coach Federico Barsotti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Jacopo Mercante (192-90) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Giacomo Bloise (179-90) added 18 points in the effort for Varese Robur. San Miniato moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio and Padova. Loser Varese Robur keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost.
