Regular Season Round 32: Qingdao E. - Xinjiang FT 110-122

There was no surprise in Qingdao where 16th ranked Eagles (9-23) were defeated by eighth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (20-12) 122-110 on Saturday. Xinjiang Flying Tige looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 12 assists and the former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) responded with 45 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Central African-American power forward James Mays (206-86, college: Clemson) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains eighth position with 20-12 record. Loser Eagles keep the sixteenth place with 23 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet at home Gold Lions (#19) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Eagles will play against Bayi Rockets in Ningbo and hope to secure a win.
