Regular Season Round 16: Blois - Nancy 79-65

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Sluc Nancy (10-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked ADA Blois (13-3) 79-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 14 points. American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Canadian-Jamaican swingman Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) produced 15 points and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-90, college: Murray St.) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. ADA Blois have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lille. Loser Sluc Nancy keeps the sixth position with six games lost. ADA Blois will face Saint Chamond (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sluc Nancy will play against the league's second-placed Lille Metropole and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
