Regular Season Round 21: JX-Eneos S. - Fujitsu RW 111-73

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (20-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Fujitsu RW (13-8) in Kashiwa 111-73. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. JX-Eneos S. outrebounded Fujitsu RW 42-25 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for JX-Eneos S. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Fujitsu RW's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Fujitsu RW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International forward Yuki Miyazawa (181-93, college: Queens, NY) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international forward Yuka Osaki-Mamiya (185-90) chipped in 23 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) with 20 points and international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-1 record. Fujitsu RW lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. JX-Eneos S. are again looking forward to face Fujitsu RW (#6) in Kawasaki in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Fujitsu RW will have a break next round.
