Regular Season Round 19: Crema - Lecco 86-85

A very close game took place in Crema between Crema and Lecco. Third ranked Crema (14-5) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Lecco (12-7). Crema managed to escape with a 1-point win 86-85 in the fight for the third place. Crema looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Francesco Paolin (190-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Massimiliano Ferraro (198-98) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Point guard Matteo Fabi (188-91, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 27 points and Brandon Solazzi (190-97, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Lecco in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Crema maintains third place in B with 14-5 record having four points less than leader San Severo. Loser Lecco keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Vicenza and Faenza. Crema will meet Padova (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lecco will play against Vicenza (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
