Regular Season Round 16: Toyoda Gosei - Tokyo HT 66-74

An interesting game for Tokyo HT (16-4) which played road game in Aichi against 3rd ranked Toyoda Gosei (13-7). First ranked Tokyo HT managed to get a 8-point victory 74-66. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Toyoda Gosei. Guard Chisato Kenaru (187-92) fired 20 points for the winners. American forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains first position with 16-4 record. Toyoda Gosei at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. Tokyo HT's next round opponent will be Aisin AW (#7) in Aichi where they are favorite. Toyoda Gosei will play on the road against Kagoshima in Renova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
