Regular Season Round 22: Kyoto Hannar. - Hitachi SR 81-71

Rather expected game when 4th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (19-13) were defeated on the road by second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (18-14) 81-71 on Sunday. Point guard Ito Tatsuya (173-94) fired 22 points for the winners. American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) chipped in 4 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Morihisa Yamauchi (173-90) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyoto Hannar. maintains second position with 18-14 record having eight points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Hitachi Sunrockers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Toyama Grouses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
