There was a small surprise in Caceres where tenth ranked Al-Qazeres (8-9) defeated 7th ranked Sant Adria (9-8) 90-78 on Sunday. They outrebounded Sant Adria 40-23 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Rita-Esther Montenegro (188-82, agency: ProDep Management) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA, agency: Two Points) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. International Belen Arrojo (188-95) produced 14 points and 5 assists and American point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St.) added 19 points and 5 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sant Adria's coach Fabian Tellez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al-Qazeres moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Araski. Newly promoted Sant Adria keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Al-Qazeres will face Zamarat (#12) in Zamora in the next round.
