Regular Season Round 14: Aris - Koroivos 66-68

There was a minor upset in Thessaloniki where 10th ranked Aris (5-9) was edged by twelfth ranked Koroivos (5-9) 68-66 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 23-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Quenton DeCosey (196-93, college: Temple) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. Austrian-American forward Bryce Douvier (201-91, college: Texas A&M-CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Eleftherios Bochoridis (193-94) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Aris' coach Panagiotis Giannakis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Koroivos moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Aris and G.Larissa-Faros. Aris lost third consecutive game. Koroivos will face higher ranked Cretan Kings (#7) in Rethymno in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
