Regular Season Round 32: Shanghai S. - Jiangsu D. 112-124

Very predictable result in Shanghai where fifth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (22-10) beat 11th ranked Sharks (16-16) 124-112 on Sunday. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 54. They outrebounded Sharks 51-37 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Jiangsu Dragons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) who helped to win the game recording 44 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) who added 31 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Jiangsu Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) responded with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 13 assists and his fellow American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons maintains fifth position with 22-10 record. Loser Sharks keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will meet at home Monkey Kings (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sharks will play against Jilin Tigers and hope to secure a win.
