Regular Season Round 21: Huelva - Sevilla 2 68-59

Very predictable result when third ranked Huelva (8-7) won against at home bottom-ranked Sevilla 2 (4-11) 68-59 on Sunday. Sevilla 2 was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 14-3 charge of Huelva, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sevilla 2 to just 3 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Sevilla 2 40-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Jeremiah Davis-III (190-93, college: Florida Southern) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Fulgencio Casanova (195-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Polish point guard Andrzej Pluta (190-0) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Luxembourg center Lou Demuth (212-0) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sevilla 2. Sevilla 2's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Huelva maintains third place in Group D-B with 8-7 record having just three points less than leader Marbella. Loser Sevilla 2 stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Huelva will face league's second-placed ULB OH!TELS in La Linea in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sevilla 2 will play at home against Jaguarzo Adepla (#7) and hope to win that game.
