Regular Season Round 16: ToPo - TuNMKY 80-79

Important game to mention about took place in Helsinki. Third ranked ToPo (12-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th ranked TuNMKY (9-6) 80-79 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TuNMKY won third quarter 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American forward Milton Jennings (206-90, college: Clemson) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and swingman Juuso Kauppinen (188-94) supported him with 13 points. Even a double-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) did not help to save the game for TuNMKY. American point guard Aubrey Conerly (182-83, college: Jacksonville) added 19 points and 5 assists for lost side. ToPo moved-up to second place in Division. TuNMKY at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. ToPo will play against Lahti (#4) at home in the next round. TuNMKY will play against Jarvenpaa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
