Regular Season Round 21: Breogan - Forca Lleida 81-49

LEB Gold top team - Leche Rio Breogan (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Lleida Basquet (9-12) in Lugo 81-49. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Lleida Basquet managed to win second period 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Lleida Basquet 42-26 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Leche Rio Breogan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Sergi Quintela (182-96) accounted for 19 points. New Zealand center Mike Karena (208-93, college: Wright St.) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian Brano Djukanovic (194-95) added 11 points respectively for Lleida Basquet in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-3 record. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Huesca and Palencia. Leche Rio Breogan will meet Caceres Basket (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lleida Basquet will play against Cocinas.com (#16) and hope to secure a win.
