Very important is a road loss of third ranked Bertram Tortona (11-7) against thirteenth ranked Eurobasket Roma (7-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Bertram Tortona was defeated by Eurobasket Roma in a tough game in Roma 75-81. It was a good game for American point guard Michael Deloach (184-86, college: Norfolk St.) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) contributed with 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bertram Tortona. Four Bertram Tortona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eurobasket Roma maintains thirteenth position in A2 with 7-11 record. Bertram Tortona at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. Eurobasket Roma will play against higher ranked Givova Scafati (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bertram Tortona will play against Agrigento and hopes to get back on the winning track.
