There was an upset in Siena where higher ranked Lighthouse TRP (10-8) was defeated by twelfth ranked Mens Sana 1871 (8-10) 90-76 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Daniele Sandri (197-90) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: W.Virginia) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Gabriele Ganeto (200-87) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lighthouse TRP's coach Vincenzo Ugo Ducarello tested ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mens Sana 1871 moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Lighthouse TRP keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Mens Sana 1871 will face Cuore Napoli (#16) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
