Regular Season Round 19: Porto S.Elpidio - Teramo 66-48

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Porto S.Elpidio (10-9) defeated at home 7th ranked Teramo (10-9) 66-48 on Sunday. It was a very good performance for power forward Simone Zanotti (208-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Stefano Cernivani (185-91) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Swingman Valerio Staffieri (196-92) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Romanian Victor Osmatescu (201-96) added 10 points in the effort for Teramo. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Porto S.Elpidio moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Forli Tigers. Porto S.Elpidio will face higher ranked Pescara (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
