Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Otsuka A. (#2) and Tokyo Excel. (#5). Otsuka A. (14-6) won against visiting Tokyo Excel. (11-9) 83-75. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Shuichiro Samejima (188-87) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Daniel Bailey (196-90, college: Queens, NC) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Tokyo Excel. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Otsuka A. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-6 record having just two points less than leader Tokyo HT, which they share with Saitama Bron. Tokyo Excel. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Cinq R..
