There was no surprise in Cordoba where 14th ranked Independiente (6-15) was defeated by twelfth ranked Barrio Parque (10-13) 87-83 on Sunday. Barrio Parque looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (190-88) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nicolas Lauria (202-88) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Federico Mansilla (191-87) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Damian Palacios (177-85) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Four Barrio Parque and five Independiente players scored in double figures. Barrio Parque moved-up to eleventh place in North, which they share with Union SF. Loser Independiente keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Barrio Parque will face league's leader Libertad Sunchales on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
