Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Jilin Tigers (7-26) lost to eleventh ranked Sharks (17-16) in Shanghai 103-121 on Tuesday. Sharks made 27-of-28 free shots (96.4 percent) during the game, while Jilin Tigers only scored eleven points from the stripe. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) contributed with 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Carl Landry (206-83, college: Purdue) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sharks maintains eleventh place with 17-16 record. Jilin Tigers lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighteenth position with 26 games lost. Sharks will face Monkey Kings (#13) in Jiangsu in the next round. Jilin Tigers will play at home against the league's second-placed Flying Leopards (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
