The game between eighth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (21-12) and 19th ranked Gold Lions (5-28) in Urumqi on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Xinjiang Flying Tige outscored guests from Tianjin 136-108. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Gold Lions 49-24 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Brazilian center Augusto Lima (207-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) answered with 32 points and 9 rebounds and swingman ZhiHan Zhang (198-91) added 24 points in the effort for Gold Lions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Beijing D. Gold Lions lost their third game in a row. They keep the nineteenth position with 28 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Brave Dragons (#14) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gold Lions will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#20) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
