Regular Season Round 28: Tsmoki-Minsk - Impuls BGUIR 91-66

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tsmoki-Minsk smashed 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR at home 91-66. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 30. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 21 Impuls BGUIR turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Maksim Liutych (200-97) who added 14 points during the contest. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Aleksander Krutikov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Genadziy Zahar (200-92) responded with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Yuriy Ignatev (202-91) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Impuls BGUIR players scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk (24-2) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Grodno-93. Impuls BGUIR lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Impuls BGUIR will play next round against strong Vitebsk trying to get back on the winning streak. Tsmoki-Minsk will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked GOCOR-Sozh in Gomel.
