The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Libertad Sunchales (14-7) in Parana on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by thirteenth ranked Echague (9-13) 70-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Libertad Sunchales. Echague dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad Sunchales' 32. American forward Jamell Cornley (196-87, college: Penn St.) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Sebastian Cabello (202-82) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Echague players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) with 27 points and 4 assists and Nicolas Copello (194-92) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Echague maintains thirteenth position in North with 9-13 record. Libertad Sunchales at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Echague will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Libertad Sunchales will play at home against Barrio Parque and is hoping to win this game.
