Bottom-ranked Croatian ZKK Medvescak managed to get the second consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time defending Croatian champion won against seventh-ranked Bulgarian Beroe in Zagreb 63-58. ZKK Medvescak forced 22 Beroe turnovers. The winners were led by forward Iva Todoric (174-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Matea Tadic (167-99) supported her with 17 points. Four ZKK Medvescak players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay St.) did not help to save the game for Beroe. Her fellow American import guard Jordan Reynolds (180-95, college: Tennessee) added 9 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Defending Croatian champion (3-6) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Beroe keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Tresnjevka. ZKK Medvescak will meet at home league's second-placed Crvena Zvezda in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Beroe will play against the league's leader Celje (#1) and hope to secure a win.
