Regular Season Round 17: Wildcats - 36ers 111-90

An interesting game for Perth Wildcats (15-10) which hosted in Perth 3rd placed Adelaide 36ers (16-10). Second ranked Perth Wildcats had an easy win 111-90. Perth Wildcats made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Adelaide 36ers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 25 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Jesse Wagstaff (203-86, college: Metro St.) chipped in 25 points. Five Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. International guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) responded with 18 points and international swingman Mitch Creek (195-92) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Perth Wildcats went down to fourth position due to points difference. Adelaide 36ers at the other side dropped to the second place with ten games lost. Perth Wildcats will play against Cairns Taipans (#6) at home in the next round. Adelaide 36ers will play against Illawarra Hawks (#5) in Gwynneville and hope to get back on the winning track.
