Regular Season Round 21: AZS PCz - WKK Wroclaw 93-68

Date: February 2, 2018
There was a small surprise in Czestochowa where ninth ranked AZS PCz (9-12) outscored 7th ranked WKK Wroclaw (11-10) 93-68 on Friday. AZS PCz dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Wroclaw's 34 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. AZS PCz forced 21 WKK Wroclaw turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by WKK Wroclaw's players. The best player for the winners was forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Lukasz Uberna (202-99) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Tomasz Jozefiak (188-93) added 15 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS PCz moved-up to eighth place in Group D, which they share with Rawia. WKK Wroclaw lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. AZS PCz will face Katy Wroclawskie (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
