Regular Season Round 34: Cyberdyne IR - Kanazawa Sam. 76-81

Very significant was Kanazawa Sam.'s (#3) 81-76 road victory against one of their biggest challengers Cyberdyne IR. Kanazawa Sam. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) notched 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 32 points and 23 rebounds by American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) did not help to save the game for Cyberdyne IR. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) added 24 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Kanazawa Sam. maintains third position with 17-16 record having four points less than leader Akita NH, which they share with Hiroshima D. Cyberdyne IR at the other side keeps the fourth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
