The game in Umea was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked KFUM Jamtland (9-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Umea (7-11). KFUM Jamtland defeated Umea 97-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Umea. It looked good early as Umea took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then KFUM Jamtland had a 28-18 second period charge getting the lead and Umea was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-97. KFUM Jamtland players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Umea's players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Brandon Taylor (201-94, college: Penn St., agency: 3Eye) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian guard Toni Prostran (182-91) accounted for 14 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Five KFUM Jamtland players scored in double figures. American guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) came up with 25 points and the other American import point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Umea in the defeat. KFUM Jamtland maintains fifth place with 9-10 record. Umea at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. KFUM Jamtland will play against league's leader BC Lulea at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Umea will play against Nassjo (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
