Regular Season Round 19: Levallois - Bourg 65-74

Very predictable result when fifth ranked JL Bourg (12-7) won against on the road 12th ranked Paris-Levallois (8-11) 74-65 on Friday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 46-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. JL Bourg made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Paris-Levallois only scored seven points from the stripe. Paris-Levallois was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International Boris Diaw (203-82) answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia, agency: 3Eye) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Paris-Levallois. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for JL Bourg. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Limoges. Loser Paris-Levallois keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. JL Bourg will face ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#6) at home in the next round. Paris-Levallois will play against Chalons-Reims (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
