Regular Season Round 19: Stelmet - MKS DG 83-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zielona Gora. Third ranked Stelmet Enea BC faced 4th placed MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Host Stelmet Enea BC (14-5) defeated guests from Dabrowa Gornicza (13-7) 83-70. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded MKS Dabrowa Gornicza 32-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. Stelmet Enea BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian forward Edo Muric (202-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (made all of his seven free throws). Lithuanian guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Five Stelmet Enea BC players scored in double figures. Stelmet Enea BC's coach Andrej Urlep used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Bartlomiej Woloszyn (196-86) answered with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Defending champion maintains third place with 14-5 record having six points less than leader Anwil. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Stelmet Enea BC will play against AZS Koszalin (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play against Polpharma (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
