Sixteenth-ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (7-13) gave a tough game to third ranked Rueil (15-5) on Friday. The visitors from Rueil managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Lamine Sambe (188-89) chipped in 17 points. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes dropped to the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with GET Vosges and SAP Vaucluse. Rueil will meet at home UB Chartres (#5) in the next round. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against the league's leader Saint Vallier (#1) and hope to secure a win.
