Regular Season Round 15: Koroivos - Cretan Kings 102-97

We should mention about the upset which took place in Koroivos, where 7th ranked Cretan Kings (7-8) lost to tenth ranked Koroivos (6-9) in a road game 97-102. Koroivos brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Cretan Kings was plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Jahii Carson (178-92, college: Arizona St.) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. Point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Mississippi) answered with 44 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St.) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Cretan Kings. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Koroivos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Kymis. Cretan Kings at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Koroivos will play against higher ranked Kolossos HH (#7) in Rodou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cretan Kings will play at home against AEK and hopes to get back on the winning track.
