Very expected game when 17th ranked Aubenas (6-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked UB Chartres (12-8) 81-75 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. UB Chartres made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) who added 15 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. American forward Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Cameroonian forward Michel Ipouck (200-86) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aubenas' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. UB Chartres maintains fifth position with 12-8 record. Loser Aubenas keeps the seventeenth place with 14 games lost. UB Chartres will face higher ranked Rueil (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aubenas will play against Lorient (#8) and hope to win that game.
