Seventh-ranked Aisin AW (6-14) gave a tough game to first ranked Tokyo HT (18-4) in Aichi on Saturday. The visitors from Tokyo managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Tokyo HT outrebounded Aisin AW 50-27 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Aisin AW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) scored 19 points and 5 assists.
