Regular Season Round 22: Andujar - Unicaja-Andalucia 57-66

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Andujar (1-14) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (8-7) 66-57 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Unicaja-Andalucia dominated on the defensive end, holding Andujar to just 4 points in third and fourth quarters. They outrebounded Andujar 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. Power forward Ignacio Rosa (206-99) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dutch center Morgan Stilma (202-0) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Antonio Garcia (202-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Javier Anton (198) scored 18 points. Andujar's coach Nacho Criado rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Unicaja-Andalucia moved-up to sixth place in Group D-A. Andujar lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Unicaja-Andalucia will face Almeria (#7) at home in the next round. Andujar will play against Novaschool in Malaga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
