An interesting game for San Lorenzo (14-1) which hosted in Almagra 4th placed Instituto (11-5). First ranked San Lorenzo had an easy win 92-67. Strangely Instituto outrebounded San Lorenzo 39-0 including a 32- advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Instituto helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. International forward Gabriel Deck (199-95) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Dennis Horner (205-88, college: N.Carolina St.) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Instituto. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Lorenzo have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Instituto at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Atenas and Quimsa. San Lorenzo are looking forward to face Weber Bahia (#11) in Bahia Blanca in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Instituto will play at home against Ferrocarril (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
