Regular Season Round 20: Cassino - Palestrina 106-100

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Cassino (15-5) defeated at home second-ranked Palestrina (15-4) 106-100 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in B. Cassino made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and naturalized Argentinian power forward Enzo-Damian Cena (200-92) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) responded with 34 points (!!!) and Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Cassino and four Palestrina players scored in double figures. Palestrina's coach Gianluca Lulli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cassino moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Crema and Piacenza. Loser Palestrina dropped to the third position with four games lost. Cassino will face league's leader Basket Barcellona on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palestrina will play against Capo d'Orlando and hope to win that game.
