Leader Empoli recorded the fifteenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Roma SRB (5-12) 69-54. It was a good game for Czech center Klara Pochobradska (186-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Elisa Chiabotto (176-97) contributed with 9 points for the winners. Forward Michela Marchetti (176-96) replied with 12 points and power forward Laura Gelfusa (185-79) added 12 points in the effort for Roma SRB. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Empoli maintains first position in A2 with 15-1 record. Newly promoted Roma SRB keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Empoli will play against Palermo (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
