Very important is a road loss of second ranked Barca CBS (12-5) against tenth ranked Joventut LC (8-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Barca CBS was defeated by Joventut LC in Barcelona 66-53. The game without a history. Joventut LC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Eliana Soriano nailed 12 points and 7 assists for the winning side and center Cristina Soriano (196, college: Monroe Coll.) accounted for 13 points. Four Joventut LC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joventut LC moved-up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with Lima-Horta. Newly promoted Barca CBS dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Joventut LC will play against higher ranked Arxil Pontevedra (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Barca CBS will play against Cortegada in Vilagarcia Arousa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
